Today is Tuesday, we need to thank God for another day.
If you have been watching the news then you know there are some disturbing things going on concerning Christians in America. There are people who are using this virus to infringe on peoples constitutional rights. I am specifically speaking about religious rights.
Now we may not agree how some people are going to church, but there should be no doubt about their right to go to church. There should not be federal government, governors, mayors or police threatening people with fines, taking peoples tag numbers off their car’s, spying on those who are doing nothing more than wanting to go to church.
Shame of those people who put nails in the drive way of the church, be very careful we do not want to go down this slippery slop. As I said there are many that might not agree on how people are going to church, but they have the right to go to church, if they were sitting in cars in the parking lot and hear the service over load speakers, if they are separating themselves with mask and gloves, or streaming on-line. People have the freedom in America to worship God.
We have come to a place in America I never thought i would see. When it’s OK to go and buy marijuana, go and buy beer, go to Home Depot, go to many places where lots of people are present but then be told not go to church or threatened not to go to church. This is wrong and it’s a shame we have come to this cross roads in America.
Amendment 1 to the Constitution of the United States of America states;
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. or abridging the freedom of speech, or the of the press or the right of the people peaceable to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievance.
The First Amendment guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition. It forbids Congress from both promoting one religion over others and also restricting an individual’s religious practices. It guarantees freedom of expression by prohibiting Congress from restricting the press or the rights of individuals to speak freely. It also guarantees the right of citizens to assemble peaceably and to petition their government. The Supreme Court interprets the extent of the protection afforded to these rights. The First Amendment has been interpreted by the Court as applying to the entire federal government even though it is only expressly applicable to Congress. Furthermore, the Court has interpreted the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment as protecting the rights in the First Amendment from interference by state governments.
I BELIEVE I SPEAK FOR MANY CHRISTIANS ALL OVER AMERICA WHEN I SAY:
WE WILL NOT BOW, WE WILL NOT BEND, AND WE WILL NOT BREAK CONCERNING THE FREEDOM TO WORSHIP GOD.
Psalm 59:1-4
Deliver me from mine enemies, O my god, defend me from them that rise up against me. Deliver me from the workers of iniguity and save me from bloody men. For lo, they lie in wait for my soul and the mighty are gathered against me, nor for my transgression, nor for my sin O LORD.
I know this post is a little different than my other post but felt it needed to be said. We can not let people to use the COV-19 to take away any rights from anyone, this is AMERICA.
Everyone have a wonderful day, love one another and God loves you. Be safe, when this is over we have a big work to do.
I love you, God loves you so much more
